Derrick Ellison

Derrick Ellison is a Loudoun County native and has been working with FCA since 2013. He currently serves as the State Director for Virginia.

Derrick began his relationship with Christ at the age of eight after a Loudoun Youth Soccer teammate shared his faith. He later attended Loudoun County HS and received his degree in Business Administration from Longwood University.

After four years as a member of the LU baseball team, Derrick went on to play over ten years of minor league baseball. As a left-handed relief pitcher, Derrick was blessed to reach Triple-A with the New York Mets.

Through his baseball career, the Lord revealed His purpose for Derrick's life enabling him to minister to fellow teammates and coaches. His faith and boldness grew as he led Bible study in locker rooms throughout minor league baseball.

Derrick desires to impact the lives of coaches and athletes so they too can share their faith in locker rooms, on the field, and on their local campuses. He began his ministry with FCA as an Area Representative in Loudoun County, then went on to serve as the Northern Virginia Multi-Area Director before accepting the role as State Director of VA.

Derrick, his wife Robin, and their three kids Adilynn, Isaac and Emmaline live in Winchester.
